Conserving Wildlife at Rebbur House

One of Bellco Developments’ legal obligations on purchasing Rebbur House, for development, was to check for European Protected Species.

Bellco commissioned ecological consultants, EMEC Ecology, in 2015, and brown long-eared bats were found in the loft space of the original house (shown above). We have been working closely with the English Heritage Bat Conservation team throughout the development of Rebbur House and Rebbur Gardens.

A reporter from Nottingham Post has written a very interesting article that summarises the detailed process that is legally required to protect the bats.
